CORRECTING THE SALES TAX ERRORS

I am in the process of calculating data from all my past sales.  As a fairly New Small Business Owner, I did a lot of research in regards to Sales Tax HOW-TO's for my customers and my Business.  As it turns out, I was misguided in my research.  I am now finding out that I charged individuals when I shouldn't have.  At the end of August, I received a Sales Tax Deliquency Report that informed me I needed to file my Sales Taxes for the period Jan-June 2013 and that it was late.  I didn't know I had to file bi-annually and was just preparing to give all the info to my CPA at tax time in 2014.

I want to first apologize for charging you Sales Tax on any purchases you made through Pinque Peacock.  I am still learning the ropes of operating a Small Business and feel like a total "doofus" that this has happened.  But because I am an honest person, I instantly started working to correct this error. I have thus far reviewed invoices and PayPal reports for the January through June time period.  I will need to do this as well for the period of July through the present time.

I am contacting any and all of my past customers who were charged in error to offer them a refund.

It may take a little time, but it MUST be done.
